About iTutor

Lesson Structure

In my tutoring sessions, i place the emphasis on guided learning, with you in the driver’s seat. The result of this hands-on approach is a greater level of comfort with your technology and confidence in yourself.

We’ll spend the first few minutes of each lesson discussing what it is you wish to learn and how we might approach it, then begin. At the end of the hour, we’ll summarize what you learned in order to help seal it in your mind. Of course, don’t underestimate the power of regular practice between sessions!

The tutoring sessions are aimed at individuals or groups of no more than three at a time, and scheduled in hour blocks. If we run over or under, the time will be pro-rated in blocks of 15 minutes. You can certainly schedule more than one hour at a time, though you might want to stick to the hour session. No need to overwhelm yourself – i can always come back again! If you or your organization would like me to present to a larger group, please let me know on the contact page.

These tutoring sessions are aimed primarily at Apple users, and include all current Apple products and software.

Pricing Structure

Sessions are generally scheduled in one hour increments, but can be pro-rated in blocks of 15 minute. The rate is $100/hr for individuals (up to three at a time) or $150 for groups. Contact me to set up an appointment.

Who i Am

As a computer enthusiast from an early age, i believe that technology does not have to be the scary province of an elite, but can truly be a useful, life-enhancing tool for everyone. Over the years, even in jobs unrelated to tech i usually assume the role of “the computer guy” not just because of my knowledge, but because i make sure to communicate with people on a level that is comfortable for them.

i have been a web designer, graphic designer and programmer, and i am a veteran of five years as a teacher at Apple. I have taught software classes in community colleges, and i am currently a freelance writer – and, of course, a tech tutor!
